Student Leadership Conference
Upward Bound counselors hold after-school meetings every other week at each school. These include snacks, study time, homework help, and enrichment activities.
Upward Bound Counselors visit each school on alternating weeks to meet with students one-on-one. Students will discuss their individual progress and concerns, and receive personalized guidance and counseling.
Monthly Saturday Sessions on our campus with, workshops, guest speakers, and academic and social enrichment activities.
Through our tutoring program, we are able to provide our students with tutoring at no cost to them. We hire both peers and professionals to tutor our students. We also offer free, 24/7 online homework help powered by tutor.com.
We have laptop computers available at each school for eligible students to check out and borrow for a few days if they are in need.
Several times each year we offer students the opportunity to go on field trips to various college campuses around the state. We also take our Seniors on an educational and cultural field trip (usually to New York City!)
ACT / SAT Help
We offer plenty of ACT / SAT education and preparation throughout the year. We also provide fee waivers for our students to take each of these tests twice at no cost.
College and Career Planning
We provide education and assistance with college research, career guidance, and financial aid. We help our students step-by-step in applying for colleges, completing the FAFSA, and other milestones on their pathway to higher education.
We provide plenty of opportunities for our students to get involved with community service projects that we organize and offer.
