SATURDAY SESSIONS

All Saturday Sessions are held from 10:00am to 2:30pm on the campus of Salem University unless otherwise noted.  Lunch is provided.  Students should report to room 128 in the Carlson Hall of Science (CHS).  We provide bus transportation (see the bus schedule below).

  • November 16- Welcome New Students! Icebreakers; UB orientation; Financial Aid/FAFSA, Substance Abuse, Test Prep (Session Evaluation)

  • December 21- TRIO Month Project Planning; Online Resources; Types of Postsecondary Education; College tips from alumni & summer staff; Reindeer Games  (Session Evaluation)

  • January 18- Sexual Health; Course Syllabus; CFWV; Social Media, Learning & Study Strategies (Session Evaluation)

  • February 15-  Credit & Loans; Financial Aid awards; College Admissions; Career assessment & research; Financial Aid; Note Taking & College Lecture; Substance Abuse; College course scheduling (Session Evaluation)

  • March 21-23 -  Senior Trip to NYC!  

  • April 12- Seniors are EXCUSED; Parent Summer Orientation; Summer registration, Summer Pre-Testing (Session Evaluation)

  • May 10- Senior Recognition; Games with the summer staff; New students tour residence halls
