The second to last week! I can't believe it's been that long already. Brings a metaphorical tear to my eye. A lot happened this week and I honestly don't think I can put every bit of it into one blog post but I'm getting paid to do that so here I go!

🌊Monday🌊
Classes came and went as normal, but in the evening we got to take a dip at Wavetek!
For those uncultured folks out there, it s a wave pool. Honestly, that was it, nothing too special. We found a way to make it special though! We busted out the tubes and rode the waves like the surfers we are at heart.

💖Tuesday💚
Tuesday was the dance! We grooved and moved to a whole plethora of songs! there were costumes, drinks, snacks, and even dance battles! We got c r a z y and l i t and whatever other words we kids use these days.
We also learned that this is Owen's last year with Upward Bound. I almost cried :'(. Shout out to Owen, you'll be missed ya gremlin. Seriously Owen is a legend! He's been on an ad board in times square, meet celebrities, staged dived at concerts...dudes insane. We hope wherever you go, you'll do good and don't forget us! Anyway, with the sappy stuff out of the way, we had a good time.

🗣Wednesday🗣
The seniors took a trip to the WVU School of Engineering in the morning to see what they have to offer. They got to see heavy equipment, stuff be 3D printed, and even built a little wooden car themselves!
In the evening, we had two guest speakers! One from Berea College and from Pierpoint Community & Technical College! We got a rundown of Berea online from a lovely admission officer. Nancy Parks of Pierpoint came after to talk about tech school and community college.
(Editor Sky note: Nancy is so chill and down to earth. I'm like her number one fan lol)

🎤Thursday🎤
Karaoke!!! It was also a free night in general, but karaoke was the main focus for us. We went up there and sang our hearts out to our favorite songs. There were musicals, rapping, and even Ice Spice. The mics didn't work so it was basically a room of screaming kids but it was soooo fun!

😴Friday😴
Today has mostly been a chill day. The rain has poured hard and the internet makes me want to quit my job with the times it's gone down >:(. Get it together Mother Nature lol. But overall, this week has been fun. Next week is the last, and we are only excited yet sad for it to come. Have a good weekend yall!
