This year's Upward Bound Olympics was hosted by West Virginia State University near Charleston, WV.  Our students, along with hundreds of other Upward Bound students throughout the state, took a break from their regular summer schedule for a day of games and friendly competition.  Students had the opportunity to compete against students from other UB programs in a variety of athletic, academic and artistic events.  Most importantly, they made connections with other UB  students from from all parts of the Mountain State and from all walks of life.

Events included Academic Bowl, Track, Connect Four, Taboo, Chess, Checkers, Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee, Whiffle Ball, Oratory, Flag Football, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Singing, Art Contest, Tug of War, Potato Race and a Pie Eating Contest!
