For our first Saturday Session of the school year, our students embarked on a visit to Davis & Elkins college. There they got to tour the beautiful campus, learn about the wide variety of programs and activities offered there, had lunch in the dining hall, and got to speak with admissions representatives about how to become a D&E Senator and financial aid available to students. They even walked away with some free swag!
We also invited students to join us on two different college visits during the month of October. Our first trip took us to Morgantown, WV to check out West Virginia University. For our second trip we ventured south for tours of the University of Charleston and West Virginia State University. During these visits, our students were able to take a guided tour of the campuses, eat in the cafeterias, talk to representatives from the Admissions offices, learn about the academic and extracurricular opportunities that those colleges offer, and ask questions.
Providing these opportunities at no cost to our students is one of the great benefits our program offers!
