Upward Bound Salem will be sending a select number of students to attend the 2019 The Student Leadership Conference held March 8-10 in Flatwoods, WV. This year's theme is "Mindful Leadership: Empower, Engage, Respect." Students will attend workshops on leadership, goal-setting, challenges, communication, and teambuilding; learn about advocacy; participate in a service project; and meet other UB students from around the state. One of those selected will also receive a leadership award and scholarship. If you're interested in attending, applications can be found here and are due by Saturday, February 16.
